Reserve space for a meeting

How to reserve our Community Room

The Policy for other uses of the library are as follows:

  1. Library sponsored activities are given priority in scheduling the use of the library.
  2. The name or address of the library cannot be used as the official address of any user organization.
  3. Reservations for using the Appleton City Public Library are made with the Director and must include the name or the organization, time period desired, number or the person responsible, and the purpose of function of the meeting. See Appendix #3.
  4. The person signing the reservation from is responsible for any damages to the library or contents. All spills must be taken care of immediately. The person signing the reservation form is to be responsible for checking the bathroom so that it is empty and flushed, all trash is placed in the trashcan, and all furniture is returned to its normal position.
  5. Nothing is to be attached to the walls or ceiling. (Unless the special tape is purchased from the library staff)
  6. Children’s groups may use the Library provided they are supervised by at least one adult for every ten (10) children.
  7. Group activities involving more than normal wear and tear on the Library are permitted only if the user provides floor and table protectors and is willing to be financially responsible for any damage.
  8. Smoking and alcohol will not be allowed in the building at any time.
  9. The director is authorized to deny permission to use the Library to any group that is disorderly, objectionable in any way, or violates these regulations.
  10. Storage facilities will not be provided to any organization.
  11. The library will not provide paper products, paper towels, napkins, etc. for any group.
  12. Appleton City Public Library name cannot be used in any advertisement without consent of the director.
  13. In the event that a program requires after hours use of the library, a three-hour time limit will be enforced. There will also be a 15 people maximum for the afterhours meeting.
  14. A $40 fee will be charged for any after hours use with a refundable $40 deposit.
