Director's Message

Thank you for showing interest in our library! As director, the most important thing to me when it comes to the library is it being something for everyone. One of my favorite quotes is “A truly great library should have something in it to offend everyone.” By Jo Godwin. And how true that is, nowadays! I understand that there are books that some people don’t like, and the truly great thing about a library is, you don’t have to check those books out! You can focus on the ones that are important to you, and respect that the others are important to other people. Books are for entertainment, knowledge, and escape, and therefore no book will be banned or censored without very intense investigation. We understand that in a library, our job is not to cater to just one type of person, or group of people, so we are always looking for ways to be inclusive and have a little bit of something for everyone. We appreciate your support and understanding in this mission, and I look forward to being here with you all for a long while!
